Origin - Native to U.S.

Other info. - This brilliant plant can be found throughout Missouri but is absent from the extreme southeast corner of the state. The plant is very easy to identify because of its perfoliate leaves and perfectly square stems. This is a large species which grows to well over 3m tall and would make a spectacular garden subject. It should be cultivated more.
