Other info. - This little species can be found scattered throughout much of Missouri but is most common in the eastern half of the state. The plant is easy to ID in the field because of its grayish pubescent stems and small flowerheads. Another species, G. obtusifolium L., is similar but has yellowish disk flowers and blooms in the fall.
