Origin - Native to Africa (?).

Other info. - This weedy species can be found scattered throughout Missouri. The plant is easy to identify because of its weedy appearance and multiple, palmately arranged flower spikes.
E. indica can be found in tropical and warm regions nearly worldwide. There are only about 9 species in this genus.
