Other info. - This showy species can be found in just a handful of southern Missouri counties. The plant is more common in states to the east. The plant is very easy to identify because of its cinnamon-colored fertile frond which is produced just before the vegetative fronds (leaves). This is an attractive species which is sometimes cultivated and would do well in a shaded, moist, acidic spot.
